Water Safety at Hullbridge Project Group Terms of Reference

Community Team (RCCCT) Steering Group

  1. On 14 September 2021, the Steering Group of the RCCCT agreed to set up a Project Group to consider water safety for users of the River Crouch, specifically at Hullbridge.
  2. The members of the Project Group are as follows:
    Angela Hutchings – Project Group Leader RDC
    Ken Wickham – Crouch Harbour Authority
    Cllr Paul White – Hullbridge Parish Council
    Cllr Alan Shearring -South Woodham Ferrers Town Council
    Cllr Bob Calver – Burnham on Crouch Town Council
  3. The Project Group shall:
    1. Consider how water safety can be improved and risks mitigated for users of the River Crouch at Hullbridge;
    2. Consider the steps which need to be taken to deliver improved water safety and risk management, in particular considering funding and other resource requirements and timescales; and
    3. Report back to the Steering Group on a regular basis and deliver a final report before Spring 2022.
