Rayleigh Windmill re-opens its doors for the 2024 season

The Windmill is ready to welcome visitors back to experience its rich history and engaging activities. The award-winning Rayleigh Windmill will re-open its doors Saturday 30 March.

Having been honoured with Visit England’s Hidden Gem award, families and history enthusiasts can once again enjoy the opportunity to explore the Grade II listed building. A team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers work hard to ensure the landmark is an interesting and quirky place to visit. Across each of its four floors there are fascinating artefacts and stunning views across the town and beyond.

Rayleigh Windmill operates on Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm, Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm, and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm. However, visitors should check the Windmill page for any planned changes due to private functions.
