The Mill Arts & Events Centre in Rayleigh has partially reopened today (Thursday 23 November).
The building had been temporarily closed for a day due to a fault with the fire alarm system. Yesterday, Rochford District Council staff worked hard to put in place robust mitigation plans and onsite fire marshals, to ensure the safety of users of the building, council staff and to protect the building on reopening. Repairs to the system have also been arranged as a matter of urgency. The top floor of the building will be unavailable for bookings until the repairs have been completed.
