The award-winning Rayleigh Windmill re-opens to visitors for the 2023 season from Saturday 1st April.
The beautiful attraction, in Bellingham Lane, provides a host of activities for the whole family to enjoy. It’s an opportunity to learn about local history and take in breath-taking views from the top of the building. Activities for children include the chance to try their hand at milling flour.
As usual the Windmill will host exhibitions from local artists showcasing their amazing work.
A hard-working team of enthusiastic volunteers make the Grade II listed building an exciting place to visit.
Rayleigh Windmill’s Volunteer Co-ordinator, Trevor Rand, said:
“We’re excited to offer a new presentation for visitors who are interested in a more detailed history of the Windmill. We are also delighted to have talented local artists present throughout the season to showcase their work to visitors. We look forward to seeing you there!”
